DEFINITION:
Their Future’s Bright Child Development Center (TFBCDC) is interviewing for full-time entry level teachers. TFBCDC is a non-profit program. We are a full-day program serving children from infant through five years old. We offer low staff-to-child ratios and a program that allows teachers to bring their creativity, interests and passion for children to life in the classroom.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position performs tasks of considerable difficulty responsible for the care of children and implementation of daily curriculum that require application of independent judgment, knowledge of departmental operations and application of established procedures. Work is performed and reviewed for accuracy and completeness in accordance with departmental policies and procedures under the general supervision of the Director.
DUTIES:

Responsible for safeguarding all sensitive and confidential information

Responsible for developing daily lesson plans

Must cultivate a classroom environment and educational activities to support the cognitive, physical and social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care

Responsible for developing partnerships with each child's parent(s) or guardian(s) to benefit their child and engage and encourage parent participation in the program

Responsible for assuring compliance with all codes of state and local governing and contracting agencies

Responsible for upholding Program standards

Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Possess proven written and oral communication skills

Possess comprehensive knowledge of computer, problem solving, organizational and priority setting skills

Ability to accurately maintain detailed documentation, files and records

Ability to communicate and work effectively and professionally with parents/guardians, organization representatives and various levels of management

Possess an understanding of Developmental Appropriate Practices

Ability to make sound decisions on behalf of children and protect their well-being

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or CDA highly desirable; Degree in Early
-
Two years of verifiable teaching experience with children age five or younger.
